APPEALS SERVICES

Every appeals service. One page.

Whether you just got the order yesterday and the 30-day clock is ticking, or you need to defend a ruling someone else is appealing, every service is here. Pick one, or pick a bundle and let us handle the whole arc.

Step 1 - Get Started
Should I even be appealing?
Before spending real money, get a real answer. These four services help you decide if you have a case worth fighting - or save you from spending on something that will not work.
Step 2 - File Your Appeal
Now we file the actual appeal.
Once you have decided, the path has two main documents. Notice of Appeal opens the case. The Opening Brief makes your argument. Most parents need both.
If You Are the Appellee
You won. They appealed. Now you defend.
If the other parent filed an appeal against your favorable ruling, your job is to defend it. Two briefs handle the back-and-forth.
When You Cannot Wait
Emergency filings.
Sometimes the order is so harmful that waiting 12 months for the appeal is not an option. These services move fast.

Common questions.

If you have a question we have not answered here, send us a message - we read every one.

How fast does the 30-day deadline really run?+
From the day the order is filed (not the day you receive it). Calendar days, not business days. Misss it and the appeal is gone unless you can argue an exception. Use our free Deadline Check to confirm exactly when yours expires.
Do I need a Strategy Memo before I file the Notice of Appeal?+
Not strictly. Notice of Appeal can be filed without one. But most parents who skip the strategy step end up either filing a weak brief or wasting money on issues that have no real grounds. The Appeal Strategy Session ($450) standalone or the Full Fight Bundle (which includes it) are built for exactly this reason.
What is the difference between Emergency Custody Stay and Motion to Stay?+
Emergency Custody Stay is a fast-track motion when there is risk of imminent harm to your child - filed within days. Motion to Stay Pending Appeal is the standard motion to pause enforcement during the regular appeal timeline. Different urgency, different filing standard, different price.
What does "rush turnaround included" mean for bundles?+
Bundle clients are placed in the priority queue automatically. We commit to delivering the full bundle within the bundle turnaround window without extra fees. For services bought individually, standard turnaround applies.
How does pay-over-time work with Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay?+
At checkout, Stripe shows you the BNPL options for bundles over $50. You pick one, complete a quick approval through that provider, and we receive the full bundle payment immediately - the BNPL provider then splits your installments over weeks or months. We never chase payments because we are paid up front.
What if my appeal takes longer than expected?+
Most appeals take 12 to 18 months from Notice to written decision. That is normal. The bundles include the work covered by the bundle scope, regardless of how long the court takes to decide. If new motions or filings come up mid-appeal that are not in the original scope, we quote those separately.
Are calls recorded?+
No. Nothing is recorded. Every call is live - we take notes during the call and the notes go into your portal afterward.
Do you offer refunds?+
Yes. 50% refund before intake submission, 0% after work begins. Washington also requires a 3-day rescission window which we honor for any reason. Full details in our service agreement.
